about

"Some Other Time" - music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Betty Comden from the 1944 musical, "On The Town." I first heard it on the Tony Bennett/Bill Evans album. It's a beautiful poignant song, and a perfect way to end this CD. The lyrics say it all....

"Just when the fun is starting
Comes the time for parting
But, let's just be glad for what we had
And what's to come
There's so much more embracing
Still to be done, but time is racing
Oh well, we'll catch up some other time."
