about

Also called "Caroline," first heard on the Spirituals To Swing Concert At Carnegie Hall in 1938. An early predecessor to Rock 'n Roll, this is an absolutely compelling boogie written by pianist Pete Johnson and originally sung by Big Joe Turner in the classic Kansas City style.
