Written of course by Bob Dylan; the Byrds version was released before Dylan's, and this track had a lot to do with the reason Dylan went electric. This is the only Byrds track that was recorded with studio musicians; members of the famous Wrecking Crew, including Hal Blaine on drums and Leon Russell playing a Wurlitzer electric piano. Roger McGuinn on his signature 12 string electric Rickenbacker guitar with McGuinn singing lead vocals backed by David Crosby. Their first #1 hit - I can still remember hearing this song on my little Zenith transistor radio....
